17th International Conference on Radionuclide Metrology and its Applications
The goal of ICRM 2009 is to provide an opportunity for the exchange of information on techniques and applications
of radionuclide metrology, and to encourage international co-operation in this field.
September 7-11, 2009 - Bratislava, Slovak Republic
organized by Slovak Institute of Metrology

Advances in Liquid Scintillation Spectrometry
September 2010
(to be confirmed) - Paris, France
This international conference follows the rich tradition of the earlier
LSC Conferences held, most recently, at Karlsruhe, Germany (2001),
Katowice, Poland (2005) and Davos, Switzerland (2008). Thereby, it seeks
to provide a forum for worldwide experts in Liquid Scintillation
Spectrometry for discussing the latest developments and applications as
well as for passing on experience to young scientists.
A wide area of topics is addressed ranging from environmental and
biological studies to radionuclides in the nuclear cycle as well as data
processing and quality assurance applications.
Topics
• Instrumentation, methods and scintillators
• Radionuclide metrology using LSC
• Calibration and standardization
• Data evaluation and spectrum analysis
• Applications based on alpha/beta spectrometry
• Applications in environmental monitoring
• Applications in bioscience and medicine
• Radionuclides in nuclear materials and waste matrices
• LSC in decommissioning and remediation studies
• Quality assurance
• Natural product verification
• Applications in geology and geochronology
organized by CEA/LNE-LNHB and CEA/DASE

First international meeting on Advancements in Nuclear Instrumentation Measurement Methods and their Applications
The aim of the conference is to bring together scientific, academic, and industrial communities interested in,
or actively involved in research and developments related to nuclear instrumentation and measurement methods.
June 7-10, 2009 - Marseille, France
organized by the Commissariat à l'Énergie Atomique (CEA) in association with the University of Provence,
the French Institute of Nuclear Sciences and Technologies (INSTN) and the Belgian Nuclear Research Center (SCK CEN).

|
|
The meeting will concentrate on the coincidence summing action, however, it is wished to spend at least one day to discuss
other items, such as uncertainties in gamma-ray spectrometry, definition of detection limits and minimum detectable activity,
relations with software suppliers, etc.
February 23-24, 2009 - Paris, France
organized by CEA/LNE-LNHB

Fundamental Parameters Workshop
Under the auspices of the European X-Ray Spectrometry Association,
LNE-LNHB (France) and PTB (Germany) proposed to start an international initiative to measure the fundamental parameters
used in X-ray spectrometry, bringing together key players from international x-ray instrumentation companies as well as
various institutes from the academic sector.
October 23-24, 2008 - Paris, France
organized by LNE-LNHB and PTB
